Berbatov’s Future
Several tabloids in the UK and around the European football countries have been largely speculating about the future of the Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov. The Bulgarian player has been performing quite well this season still holding the top scorer title in the league. However, what the media has been publishing is the idea that the Bulgarian is a victim of the rising talent of his Mexican teammate Hernandez which induces the thought that he might be leaving the Red Devils quite soon.
The manager and the leadership of United have not yet announced any plans about the striker. According to Bulgarian media, he has been offered millions to join some German clubs, a Turkish champion, an Italian club. However, as the Bulgarian has once indicated, he has no intention to change clubs and his desire is to end his career in Manchester United.
But is the end close? This we cannot conclude surely simply because the Bulgarian is still negotiating a new contract with the red devils. According to official information from the club, the financial merits of the agreement would not be relevant as the striker will not pretend for an enormous increase in his 80,000 per week salary. It is more probable the the duration of any contract is extended and his future in the team ensured. A Turkish club is the last one to contact the Manchester United leadership asking for the player. However, his transfer in the East seems unlikely given the circumstances and the offered price for the Bulgarian.
We might have not yet seen him in 2XU compression shorts, but might see him in a Bulgarian film quite soon. So he might leave United and dedicate himself to a more stable movie career.
