Find a footie comedy show!
If you’re a footie lover, then you no doubt spend your days glued to the screen. We’re not just talking games here, but also all of the related commentary, and all of the related footie shows, too. In addition, there are myriad films and shows out there that feature footie in a glowing (or not so glowing) light. And let’s not get started on YouTube for all your footie related fun!
If you’re after a footie Comedy Show, then you won’t have to look far at all. With the frequency with which our players are retiring, there’s a high possibility that many of them will go onto second careers–many of them in the media. Yes, this means endless material for a footie Comedy Show, and likely means that I’ll be laughing until I’m sore before and after the big weekend game.
Comedy Shows for footie players exist all around the world, and it’s easy to find a station (okay, if you’ve got cable or satellite, or a great download limit) playing something silly involving footie players making themselves look mildly ridiculous on the small screen. But that’s what we love about this game, isn’t it? The fact that ordinary blokes like us can make a mint kicking a ball around (look ma, no hands!), and can then go on to have an (admittedly middling) television career where they relive the best moments of their on-field form. It’s great–you don’t need to be attractive or able to act to get a great long-running tv gig these days. You don’t even have to be funny, either, meaning that even a bloke like me could get a gig on a footie Comedy Show. Well, if I’d played footie professionally, of course, but that’s just a minor hurdle!
